Sally
- thank you so much for putting your heart and soul into this show.
I'm so glad I got to come to NYC to see it. Please tell George that I
really enjoyed the show; and I hope to get to see you again very soon.
Send my best regards to Bob and to Ben Robert as well and maybe on my
next trip I will get to meet the "youngen'". Be well and I will will
send up many prayers that the show receives all it needs to make it
big and get the acclaim it (and you) deserve. Until next time....

Sally
Mayes, without a doubt, has the most amazing voice I've ever heard!
After 6 years of being mesmerized by her voice, I was finally able to
hear it LIVE last week when I saw her in "Pete n' Keely". Not only is
she unbelievably talented, but she's so nice in person!! She let me
have my picture taken with her and I'm praying that it turns out as it
was the last picture on the roll! My dream is to someday share the
stage with her, even if it's on back up vocals! The woman is
incredible!!!

Hey
Sally, I remember playing at your house with the plastic wigs when we
were 4 or 5. Do you remember that? Yes, it's me, Jo Lynn, from good ol'
Livingston,TX. I'm impressed with all I've seen here. Can't wait to
hear one of your CD's. You've sure come a long way from Miss Polk
County, huh? I'd love to hear from you sometime via email. Maybe catch
up. Take care and continued good luck with your career. Tell your Mom
"Hi". Jo Lynn

I
bought the Das Barbeque album after listening to you sing in the Best
of Off Broadway album. I especially enjoyed your song, County Fair,
which I find quite moving. Nice to see you've done some solo albums.
I'll have to buy one or two of them. I am always impressed by albums
produced by Mr. Kimmel who seems to have a talent for bringing out the
talent in his performers. Sincerely, Ken Sholes

Sally,
we always knew you were the best! We're so proud of you and for you.
You must know that Bill Mayes is sitting on your shoulder every time
you walk on stage! What better "guardian angel" could anyone have!
Rest assured he's 'gloating' all over heaven! I love you, Lin

Sally
- Hello after all these years! After working with you in Dallas - my
life has never been the same. One of my fondest memories in life has
been learning from you how to be a performer - learning from the best!
You always were the cosumate performer and it is nice to see that you
have finally achieved the success that I was certain would be yours
someday. I have followed your career over the years and have been
proud to say, "I was once her accompanist!" I remember many times
sitting in your apartment in Dallas having our talks about life and
love and it warms my heart to know you have finally found your man for
life........and Ben Robert - well, what can I say! I'm sure you are a
great mom! Ben Robert is very lucky! Congratulations on every
recognition; every part you earned and every beautiful note that
flowed from your heart. I am counting the days until I am sitting Row
C Seat 9 for "Pete -n- Keely" on Saturday December 16, 2000. Look out
in the audience and know that I will be the one with a smile as big

Ms.
Mayes, Last Sunday, November 5, I had the good fortune to announce
your performance for the NCURA banquet at the Washington Hilton Hotel
in Washington, D.C. I enjoyed it all very much especially
"Cloudburst." A large number of my co-workers and I will be in New
York this coming Friday and Saturday (Nov 17 & 18) and we are
interested in seeing your show, if possible. Please let me know how to
proceed. Thanks, Mike Dudley

Sally,
My dad,Mel Brown, used to be Sup. at Goodrich schools. My sister,
Alissa Brown and you were friends, I think and my sister, Melinda may
have played piano for you. This is so funny, but growing up, if you
were being overly dramatic in my home, my mom would say , "Okay Sally
Mayes, get off the stage!" So your name became a synonym for being
extremely theatrical. I guess you performed as a child as you do now.
Just a few weeks ago I came across your name in the Dallas Morning
News and wondered if you were the same Sally Mayes. We had no idea
that you persued a career in performing arts. After a little research
and buying your latest CD, I am pretty confident that you are. The CD
was great and I can't wait to share it with my sisters Alissa and
Melinda. I am now a fan. Would love to hear from you. Joey

had you knock me out of my seat in Closer than Ever,I have every album
with your name attached and hope to see you live at a concert you're
doing in Westchester this Jan. Thanks again for making the music you

I
confess it -- I'm a groupie. :-) Sally, your recordings and vocal
stylings are beyond compare. What a treat to hear your renditions of
"Southbound Train," "When the Weather's Better," "Close As Pages in a
Book" and "I've Been Here Before." I've been lucky enough to see you
in cabaret at Eighty Eight's, in CLOSER THAN EVER off-B'way and on
tour in Los Angeles, and in SHE LOVES ME at the Roundabout and on
B'way. Keep bringing us your magic!

Sally:
I saw, and loved your show, The Story Hour when you first performed it
at Eighty Eights. I was so glad you recorded it as well -- there is so
much terrific material there. I was curious to find out if the sheet
music for "he ain't mr right" is published somewhere or if powers and
franzel wrote that just for you. I do cabaret work here in NYC and I'd
love to do that number sometime. If you've got any info on where I can
track down the music, I'd really appreciate it. In the meantime, I
look forward to seeing your next show and I wish you continued
success!

Sally,
thank you again for your wonderful performance at Lyric Stage's
Cabaret 2000 last Friday night. (I hope you saw Lawson Taitte's review
of your show in the Dallas Morning News the next morning) You helped
to make the evening an even greater success. And what fun you were!
Meeting you is a memory I will cherish. You (and Uncle Bud) were
delightful. Bob and I look forward to seeing you on one of our trips
to NYC.
